Children
One Way Children’s ministry exists to help ordinary children become passionate followers of Jesus Christ. We model our ministry off of the example of Jesus at twelve. We see in Luke 2:52 that Jesus grew in wisdom, stature and favor with both God and man; therefore, we teach and re-teach 3 core points every week:
I can trust God no matter what.
Everything One Way does is centered on growing kids’ confidence in God. We want our kids to have a deeply rooted confidence in God’s character that leads them to passionately follow Him whether days are good or hard.
I should treat others the way I want to be treated.
Jesus said the greatest command is to love the Lord your God with all of your heart, soul, mind and strength, but that the second greatest command is just like the first: love your neighbor as you love yourself. We want our kids to be mindful that their love for God is reflected in how they love and care for other people.
I need to make
the wise choice.
James warns against being hearers only of God’s Word and not also doers. We are mindful that if children are to grow fully as disciples of Jesus, they will grow in both their knowledge and application of God’s Word as a active part of their daily lives.
