10/40 Window
The 10/40 window is the phrase used to describe an area of the world with the most people groups still unreached by the gospel of Christ, such as the Shaikh, Yadava, Turks, Moroccan Arabs, Pushtun, Jat and Burmese. As its name suggests, this area extends from 10 degrees to 40 degrees North of the equator, and stretches from North Africa across to China. The 10/40 window is also home to most of the world’s population of Muslims, Hindus and Buddhists.
First Assembly supports several sets of missionaries and church planting movements throughout this area, though, due to persecution, their exact locations and activities are not published. First Assembly’s history and future vision for the 10/40 window aims at church planting, indigenous leadership and sending missionaries into areas that have not yet heard or responded to the good news of Jesus.
